2. Get Fingerprinted

If you are taking an insurance exam for the first time, you must be fingerprinted. Only students who have an existing license and our adding a new line of authority or those who have submitting fingerprints to the Arizona Department of Insurance within the past year are exempt from the fingerprinting requirement. The requirement can be met either before the exam or at the exam site on the day of the exam.

Fingerprints must be be submitted via a Live Scan fingerprinting vendor. Prometric offer Live Scan fingerprinting at their testing centers, and the fingerprinting can be set up at the time of exam registration. Your fingerprints will be used to check the criminal history records of the FBI. The fingerprinting fee paid to the Live Scan vendor will not cover the FBI processing fee; this fee will need to be added to your license fee payment.
