Do You Qualify for an Insurance License?
See the Following Prerequisites:
- Be at least 18 years of age or older
- Have a high school diploma or its equivalent (GED)

1. Complete a Pre-licensing Course
If you would like to sell insurance in Georgia, you must complete an approved line of pre-licensing education and pass the state licensing exam. All courses are cross-referenced with the exam content outline.
To satisfy the requirements for your course, you will need to pass a Certification Exam. The Certification Exam is not monitored. After passing the Certification Exam with a 70% or greater, you will receive a Certificate of Completion. Pre-licensing education is valid for one year from the date of completion; you will need to take and pass your state exam within this timeframe.
