How to Get Your Louisiana Real Estate Sales Agent License

Louisiana Real Estate License Requirements

  • Be a citizen of the United States or a lawfully admitted alien
  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Must have obtained a high school diploma or equivalency certificate (GED)

Steps to Get a Louisiana Real Estate License

Course Description

The Louisiana Post-Licensing Education course is a requirement for all initial licensees to complete 45 hours of post-licensing education within 180 days after the initial license date. This course offers a total of 99 hours, with 9 elective hours and 90 mandatory hours. The package includes the 90-Hr. LA Salespersons Pre-Licensing Course and Exam Prep Edge, which prepares students for the Louisiana state licensing exam and provides the necessary knowledge and foundation for a successful career in real estate sales. Additionally, students receive three courses to help start their business: Building Your Sphere, Building Your Real Estate Business, and Is Commercial Real Estate For You?
