- Long-Term Care Training: Initial 8-hour course and 4-hour ongoing training every 36 months
- Flood Requirements: Comply with FEMA’s minimum 3-hour training requirement
- Resident Requirements: 36 total credits every three years, including 3 credits of ethics
- Non-Resident Requirements: Exempt from Iowa CE if compliant with resident state’s requirements
- Course Repetition: Not permitted within the compliance/renewal period
Steps to Renew a Iowa Insurance License
- Complete the required CE hours according to your license type and state regulations
- Pass the closed book online certification exam with a minimum score of 70%
- Fulfill the Annuity, Index Product, and Long-Term Care Training requirements, if applicable
- Complete CE requirements by the last day of your birth month every three years
- Report course completion within 15 days and pay the state reporting fee of $1.00 per credit hour
