Utah Insurance License Renewal Requirements
- Complete 24 hours of CE biennially, including 3 hours of Ethics
- Annuity Training: Product-specific training prior to selling annuities (Utah approved Kaplan’s 4-hour course)
- Long-Term Care Training: 3-hour initial training and 3-hour ongoing training every 24 months
- Flood Insurance: Minimum 3-hour FEMA and NFIP training
Steps to Renew a Utah Insurance License
- Complete required CE hours, including mandatory topics and additional training courses
- Pass closed book online certification exam with a score of 70% or higher (unlimited retakes)
- Complete CE requirements by the last day of licensee’s birth month every two years
- Report course completion within 14 days (include Agent’s license number)
- Pay required state reporting fees ($1.00 per credit hour)
