Real Estate License Renewal Requirements California
- Every four years
- 45 hours required, including:
- One 9-hour CE survey course covering 7 mandatory subjects (ethics, agency, trust fund handling, risk management, management and supervision, fair housing, and implicit bias training) OR individual courses in each mandatory subject
- Minimum of 18 hours of CE courses in the category of consumer protection
- Remaining hours can be related to consumer service or consumer protection courses
Steps for California License Renewal
- Complete the required 45 hours of DRE-approved continuing education
- Pass the final exams with a score of at least 70%
- Obtain your course certificate(s) of completion
- Submit your renewal application to the California Department of Real Estate
