How Real Estate Changed My Life
I never thought I’d end up in real estate. Growing up, I was sure I’d be a music producer. I worked with major artists, spent late nights in big studios, and chased the dream hard. But I hated asking people for help—and at some point, I knew I needed to make my own way.
That’s when I turned to real estate. I was 18, broke, and determined. Over time, I earned every license I could— sales associate, appraiser, broker, instructor, and mortgage loan originator.
I didn’t just want to be in the game—I wanted to understand every corner of it. I’ve flipped homes, sold commercial properties, and invested across the board. Eventually, I founded Cameron Academy because my experience taking a real estate course was awful. I knew it could be done better.
Now, more than 20 years in, I still get in the classroom. I still teach. And I still believe education should feel like an opportunity, not a punishment. We built Cameron Academy on that principle—backed by innovation, tech, and real talk from people who’ve actually done the work.
I’m not here to read textbooks. I’m here to help people pass, grow, and thrive. I’m also big on giving back. I volunteer weekly, serve through the Rotary Club, and I’ve been working with local schools to get financial literacy into the hands of students. Real estate gave me a life I’m proud of. Now I’m doing everything I can to help others build theirs.
