Real Estate License Renewal Requirements Nevada

  • Continuing Education and License Renewal Date: Every two years by the last day of the month in which you first obtained your license
  • Hours Required By The State:
    • 3 hours Agency
    • 6 hours Contracts
    • 3 hours Ethics
    • 3 hours Nevada Law
    • 3 hours Risk Reduction
    • 18 hours General (specific requirements for Business Broker and Property Manager permit holders)
    • At least 18 of the required 36 hours must be taken through live instruction
    • No more than 3 hours in each two-year period may be taken in Personal Development courses

Steps for Nevada License Renewal

  1. Complete the required 36 hours of continuing education, including mandatory and general hours.
  2. Pass the final exams with at least a 75% score (multiple attempts allowed).
  3. Receive an electronic Certificate of Completion upon successful course completion.
  4. Submit your completed renewal form, copies of Continuing Education certificates, and applicable fees by mail or in person.
  5. Ensure your application is postmarked by midnight of the expiration date if renewing by mail.
  6. Pay the applicable license renewal fees.
