Renewal Date: Every 24 months, by April 30th of odd-numbered years.

Hours Required by the State:

  • A total of 28 hours of continuing education is required.
  • This includes a 7-hour USPAP Update Course.
  • Additionally, 21 hours of elective continuing education.
  • Note: For initial trainee licenses and certificates issued for less than two full years, continuing education requirements are pro-rated as defined in 16.62.7.12 NMAC.

Certificates: Immediately upon completion of the appraisal course, Cameron Academy will provide students with an electronic copy of the course certificate of completion. These certificates will remain in the student’s account for a minimum of five years. Refer to your renewal application to determine if you need to submit your certificate(s) of completion. Course completion dates are recorded using Central Standard Time, and the date on the certificate of completion will reflect this.
