How to Renew Your Oregon Insurance Agent License
Oregon Insurance License Renewal Requirements
- Complete 24 hours of CE biennially, including 3 hours of Ethics and 3 hours of Oregon statutes and administrative rules
- Annuity Training Requirement: One-time 4-hour course
- Long-Term Care Training: 8-hour initial course, 4-hour biennial course thereafter
- Flood Insurance: One-time 3-hour training course on flood insurance and the NFIP (for property and casualty producers)
Steps to Renew a Oregon Insurance License
- Complete the required 24 hours of CE, including mandatory topics and additional training courses
- Pass the closed book online certification exam with a score of 70% or higher (unlimited retakes)
- Complete CE requirements by the last day of your birth month every two years
- Report course completion to State Based Systems (completions prior to May 7, 2012, must be reported by the student; subsequent completions reported by the provider)
- File a biennial renewal application
