Tennessee Mortgage License Requirements
- Complete a Criminal Background Check (CBC)
- Authorize a credit report through the NMLS
- Fulfill all state and federal education requirements as designated by Tennessee
- Pass a National Test
- Have no prior revocation of license by any state regulator
- Have no felony conviction during the 7-year period prior to application
- Have no felony conviction at any time, if the felony involved fraud, dishonesty, breach of trust, or money laundering
- Demonstrate sufficient financial responsibility, character, and general fitness
- Be sponsored by their current employer
