Requirements to Renew Your Utah Real Estate License
- Complete 18 hours of post-licensing education
- 12-hour New Agent course
- 3-hour Mandatory course
- 3 additional hours (either core topic or elective hours)
- Abide by seat time requirements and daily course segment limitations (no more than 8 hours in a 24-hour period)
- Note: Fingerprinting and background checks are required for license renewal, but this requirement is temporarily suspended due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Visit https://realestate.utah.gov for updates.
Steps to Complete the First Renewal of Your Utah Real Estate License
- Enroll in The CE Shop’s 18-hour post-license course package, which includes:
- 12-hour New Agent course
- 3-hour Mandatory course
- 3 additional hours (either core topic or elective hours)
- Complete the courses according to Utah Division of Real Estate requirements
- Pass the post-licensing final exams with a minimum score of 75%
- The hours for the course will be reported to Pearson Vue, which updates the Utah Division of Real Estate
- Complete CE by the 15th of the month to ensure hours are banked in time for online license renewal
