State License Requirements for Renewal

To keep your Florida Real Estate Sales Associate or Broker license active, you must complete the following requirements:

• Complete 14 hours of Continuing Education (CE) every two years, including:
  • 3 hours on Florida Real Estate Law Updates
  • 3 hours on Florida Real Estate Commission (FREC) approved Ethics and Business Practices
  • 8 hours of FREC-approved electives
• Pay the required renewal fees before the license expiration date.

Penalty for Late Renewal

Late renewal of a salesperson or broker license (other than the first renewal) will result in the license becoming involuntarily inactive and additional late fees.
